Why Justice

Why Justice

India, with over 1.1 billion people, has a growing economy and a rich cultural history. At the same time, according to World Bank, approximately two thirds of Indians live with an income of less that $2 a day. Millions suffer from human trafficking and other extreme forms of injustice due to poverty, corruption, discrimination, and other unjust causes.

Justice Ventures India works with local partners to address these issues, bringing greater freedom, justice and restoration to the poor and oppressed.

JVI partners with local organizations and global stakeholders to bring freedom, justice and restoration to men, women and children suffering from human trafficking and other forms of extreme injustice.

Justice is essential to ensuring a prosperous and fair society for all. Our vision is to see unjust communities transformed into communities.

Our Approach

Justice casework to secure justice for victims of human trafficking and other injustices by delivering high-quality legal and related services.

Justice training that strengthens the capacity of justice focused non-profit organizations and businesses to provide opportunities for the vulnerable.

Justice advocacy to transform unjust systems through rights-based advocacy services to address broken systems and improve the rule of law.

Justice Ventures capacity building protects and empowers the oppressed by training the vulnerable, as well as police, lawyers, government officials, and judges, through effective human rights training.

Our Strategies

Securing Justice for Individuals
We work on the front lines in poor and oppressed communities where the battle for justice rages daily, freeing oppressed men, women and children from injustice through joint interventions conducted with local organizations and government officials.

Strengthening Justice Organizations

We equip and strengthen local nonprofit organizations and businesses to fight injustice through human rights
training, legal services, funding and access to other professionals.

Improving Justice Systems
We improve justice systems by conducting research, advocating for changes in policies and laws, and building justice networks linking local and global advocates to protect the vulnerable from abuse and oppression.
