Call for Applications: JVIT Summer Research Internship 2026

Justice Ventures India Trust is inviting applications for the position of Summer Research Intern 2026

Location: On-site, Delhi — Duration: 3 months

Eligibility

Applications are open to students who are currently pursuing or have completed graduation/post-graduation* in the following disciplines:

  • Criminology
  • Forensic Sciences
  • Sociology
  • Forensic Psychology
  • Human Rights
  • Police Administration
  • Any other closely related discipline

*Applicants must be enrolled in a recognized university or institution.

Other Requirements

  • Strong interest in crime prevention and human rights 
  • Prior relevant internship experience is an advantage
  • Willing to travel within Delhi-NCR
  • Creative, proactive and motivated

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct secondary research on human trafficking
  • Assist in open-source data collection and analysis
  • Participate in field visits (Delhi-NCR)
  • Submit reports in a timely manner

Benefits

  • Stipend of ₹5,000 per month (after completion of each month)
  • Internship Certificate upon successful completion of 3 months
  • Exposure to field visits (within Delhi) and stakeholder engagement
  • Weekly work-from-home day(s)

Internship Program Overview

Our internship program offers opportunities for individuals passionate about social justice and human rights to contribute to achieving freedom, justice, and restoration for survivors of human trafficking and other forms of modern slavery. Through hands-on experience and guidance from experienced professionals, interns will gain valuable skills while making a meaningful impact on JVIT’s efforts to combat modern slavery.

The intern will be assigned a project at the beginning of the internship period and report to the assigned supervisor. The intern may also be assigned to a project that requires collaboration with other departments at JVIT.

Applicants will be notified if they are invited to participate in an interview.

Please note that applications must include a resume, writing sample (Legal/Communications) and cover letter. Applications submitted without these materials will not be considered.

Applicants are also required to clearly indicate their preferred location (or if they are seeking a remote position) and the intended duration of their internship in their email.
